just reached home after i thought what was tuition today. nothin interesting today xcept some gossip abt other ppl and suaning abt me from my friends. so ive decided that i need a way to improve my ss. so im gonna try to infer from what i love most. SONGS! so this is what i think about james blunt's beautiful. so off we go! firstly. i think this song's about a lost love, one that he had forgotten about but met her coincidentally and all his feelings for her came back. so he tries to console himself first by sayin that he has a plan and stuff and that she's beautiful, showin that he still loves her alot. he's at a lost, because he wants to jio her again, but at the same time knows that its impossible. thats the first verse and the chorus. 2nd verse is more about how he feels. when he says the 'she could see on my face that i was fuckin high' he means that he was in ecstacy on seeing her(probably after a very long time, this also explains the first part when he says his life is brilliant). but as the song goes on, he says that he doesnt think he'll see her again. this also explains the 'fuckin high' part, it shows that he is taking in the moment, totally ignorant of what this girl sees of him in that moment. so when he says we shared a moment, im not very sure if he's talkin about this moment, or the one where he and this girl used to be a couple. okee so now the last verse, really the impact lines of the entire song ' there must be an angel, with a smile on her face, when she thought that i should be with you'. i think mr blunt thinks that the angels were smiling down on him, when he and this girl was still a couple.i think that he also thinks that he is not good enough for this girl. he counts the angels being the ones responsible for this, not of his own doings. and he really wants to cherish the moment. so when it comes to the end of the song, he finally admits that he will never be with her. ouch. the video's also cool too. if u guys havent seen the video, its about james taking of his sweatshirt, tee shirt and pretty much everything else except his pants in the pouring rain in the video. he's also on top of a mountain. he takes out his stuff and lays them nicely, like putting his shoes, socks, pick and other stuff all neatly in a row. i think by doin this he wants to leave everything in place, like how it should have been when he first came into the world. he then jumps down this cliff. i think by doing this he wants to start afresh, anew, probably too haunted by this 'beautiful' girl who he's singing about. maybe the pain's too tough for him to bear. i don't think he's tryin to kill himself, he's just tryin to rid the demons of the past. by jumpin into the sea, the video might be implyin some kind of cleansing, most probably images of the girl. so i guess thats probably it. had mental block like half the time so this isnt a really good inference. jialat la gonna fail ss already. neways tag my board and tell the whole world what u think bout this song.
